LVN / LPN - Ambulatory Care/Clinic/Outpatient

Job Summary:
Provides medication dispensing and patient care support within an outpatient opioid addiction treatment setting. Collaborates with physicians and nursing staff to ensure safe, accurate medication administration and maintains compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

• Administer daily prescribed medications to patients following medical protocols and program policies.
• Operate automated dispensing systems, calibrate pumps, and maintain dispensing equipment.
• Maintain accurate documentation and reports in compliance with federal, state, and organizational regulations.
• Manage medication inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stocking medications in accordance with DEA and state guidelines.
• Conduct daily patient assessments and support nursing staff in orientation and clinical tasks.
• Ensure secure storage and distribution of controlled substances according to security standards.

Qualifications:

• Possess a valid state license as an LVN or LPN.
• Have at least 1 year of experience in medication administration, preferably within an Opioid Treatment Program.
• Hold a current BLS certification.
• Demonstrate familiarity with medication dispensing procedures and regulatory compliance.
• Show strong interpersonal skills with a non-judgmental, empathetic attitude toward patients with Substance Use Disorder.
• Ability to work cooperatively within a multidisciplinary team.
