Job Title: Line Cook, Expeditor, Food Runner

Extreme Ice Center is a two-sheet ice rink located southeast of Charlotte, N.C. that provides year-round programs, leagues, classes and events for hockey, figure skating and recreational skating. Our in-house bar and restaurant, Center Ice Tavern, is seeking experienced line cooks, expeditors, and food runners that have a passion for food and hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation and cooking, following established recipes and safety protocols
• Support menu planning by preparing ingredients and assembling meals according to dietary guidelines
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen in compliance with food safety standards
• Handle food items safely, including proper storage, portioning, and disposal practices
• Support catering events or special meal occasions as needed
• Follow all food handling procedures to ensure hygiene and safety are upheld at all times

Requirements

• Prior experience in dietary departments, food service, or restaurant environments is highly preferred
• Demonstrated skills in food preparation, cooking, and meal assembly
• Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques
• Experience with menu planning and catering is a plus
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills to work in others in the kitchen
• Kitchen experience within the food industry or fine dining settings is advantageous

Compensation: Depending on the position and experience, pay rates range from $12-20/hour to start.
