Latitude is headquartered in Pittsburgh with engineering centers in Dearborn, Mich., and Palo Alto, Calif.Meet the team:The Onboard Platform - High Level OS team is an embedded software team which is responsible for managing OS bring-up and maintenance including but not limited to bootloader, kernel/device tree, rootfs, runtime configs, firmware/secure-world interfaces, and secure boot for onboard/secondary systems.What you’ll do: Lead the BSP architectural designs for a variety of embedded Linux platformsWork with systems team to develop requirements for multiple Linux-based platformsWork within the cross-functional teams to ensure the Linux OS satisfies system requirements across the broader ADAS organizationDesign + Develop + Maintain the custom bootchain and Linux OS running on our ADAS platformsDesign + Implement recovery boot workflowsAid in the design and implementation of secure boot mechanisms Work closely with a multidisciplinary team of hardware, software and system engineers to ensure the success of our productAct as Architectural Lead for the BSP teamWhat you'll need to succeed:Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics or a related field and 7+ years of relevant experience (or Master's degree and 5+ years of relevant experience, or PhD and 2+ years of relevant experience)Significant experience with Yocto/OpenEmbedded, buildroot, or similar Linux packaging technologiesSignificant experience developing Linux device drivers for Ethernet, GPU, PCIE or flash devices like UFS, eMMC, OSPIBootloader experience, including but not limited to U-Boot or UEFI. Actual starting pay will be based on job-related factors, including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level. Latitude employees are also eligible to participate in Latitude’s annual bonus programs, equity compensation, and generous Company benefits program, subject to eligibility requirements.Candidates for positions with Latitude AI must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis.
