Joseph Gallo Farms also offers a competitive benefits package at a group rate to all our full-time employees and their dependents.Benefits:401(k) retirement plan w/ company matchHealth InsuranceDentalVisionEducational ReimbursementPaid time off (vacation, sick, holidays, etc.)Free cheese!Summary of Functions:Primary responsibilities are to safely run plant equipment and achieve the goals of production while maintaining consistent quality.Major Duties and Responsibilities:Running large machinery and maintenance.Packaging of cheese in 40lb bags.Troubleshooting of machinery.Cleaning of floors, walls, tools, etc.Chemical safety, workplace safety, and GMP training and practicesCIP and sanitation of equipment.Routine inspections of all working parts.Move pallets using pallet jack or forklift as required.Receiving and shipping of product in tankers.Food Safety Requirements/Responsibilities:Comply with all Plant, State and Federal OSHA, EPA, FDA, HACCP, and SQF regulationsComply with GMP's in the plant.Assist in the maintenance of Food Safety and Quality system.Organizational Relationships:Position reports to the Production Supervisor in the Cheese Production Department.Qualifications:High school diploma or GED.Minimum 1 year work experience.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Must be a team player and the ability to work independently.Attention to detail.Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
