About the Role
The Company is seeking a Head of Accounting to join its dynamic finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for directing and supervising the full audit process, from planning to reporting, and managing audit teams to ensure high-quality reviews are conducted within set timeframes. This role requires the ability to provide support, coaching, and feedback to the audit team, as well as effectively communicate with stakeholders and senior management. The Head of Accounting will also be involved in the broader audit plan, continuous monitoring, and may assist with special projects related to business process improvements. Applicants for the Head of Accounting position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, and a strong understanding of audit techniques, internal controls, and workpaper standards. A strong working knowledge of financial and regulatory reporting, particularly in the context of banking and capital markets products, is essential. Experience with US GAAP and JGAAP is a plus. The role demands a professional who can develop and maintain collaborative relationships with business heads, external auditors, and regulators, and who is adept at tracking and validating the closure of issues raised by the department and regulators.
