Viking Mechanic
Viking is seeking an experienced versatile mechanic to join our maintenance team.
Basic Function: To perform maintenance and repair on company vehicles, forklifts and other machinery
Responsibilities:
- Build and assemble vehicle components according to requirements
- Inspect vehicles, engines, transmissions, etc. and run diagnostic tests to discover functionality issues
- Conduct repairs
- Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner
- Perform thorough maintenance on vehicles, trucks, forklifts and other machinery
- Clean and apply lubricants
- Replenish fluids and components of engines and vehicles
- Undertake other duties as assigned (e.g. repair of hydraulic systems, painting vehicles etc)
- Keep logs of work and report on issues
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Skills:
- Proven experience as mechanic
- Excellent knowledge of vehicles
- Basic reading skills
- Lifting up to 100 pounds
Education/Training: Experience:
- Diesel engine repair: 5 year
- Mechanical knowledge
Certifications/Licenses:
Position reports to: Owner
Monday - Friday 6:00am - 4:30pm 45hrs
