Anesthesiologist opportunity at Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN—tucked between the mountains of Southeast Tennessee! Description Founded in 1971, Parkridge Medical Center offers compassionate care and advanced technology in a comfortable and convenient setting. The 275-bed hospital near downtown Chattanooga features comprehensive diagnostic and medical/surgical services, including cardiovascular surgery, cancer treatment, intensive care, orthopedic and spine surgery, and rehabilitation. As part of the Parkridge Health System, patients also have access to OB-GYN services, a level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and behavioral health treatment centers for children and adults.

Case Assignments: Orthopedic, general, GI, cardiac, pulmonary cases, endovascular, electrophysiology, neurosurgery, GYN and a small amount of pediatric anesthesia.

Shifts: Various shifts and schedules available.

Requirements and Responsibilities:

• Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department
• Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
• Pre-anesthesia assessment
• Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
• Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
• Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
• Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
• Performance of clinical intervention as needed

Requirements: M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine, ECFMG and FLEX, Completion of approved residency in anesthesia, Currently licensed as a physician
