Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to counsel individuals and groups facing various health-related concerns, including mental health and substance abuse issues.

  • Provide immediate crisis counseling and interventions for students or clients in distress, ensuring that appropriate assessments are conducted when necessary.
  • \n
  • Manage referrals for student support via Maxient, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • \n
  • Develop and uphold confidential patient records, adhering to applicable Federal and State regulations, and observe best practices in documentation.
  • \n
  • Engage in professional development initiatives and training sessions for students, faculty, and staff to promote awareness of mental health issues.
  • \n
  • Deliver expert consultation to faculty and staff about mental health concerns and implement best practices to support students facing psychological challenges.
  • \n
  • Plan, implement, and facilitate mental health services aimed at enhancing student wellness, academic success, and retention, including outreach events and prevention strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on providing care and support to a diverse client population. You will engage with students and community members who may be dealing with a variety of mental health challenges. This role allows you to play a crucial part in improving their mental wellness, academic performance, and overall quality of life.

Qualifications\n

  • A Master’s degree in Counseling, Clinical Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required.
  • \n
  • Active licensure in California as an LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, or equivalent. Note: we are unable to consider applicants with an associated license as they are not billable through Medicare.
  • \n
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, is essential for documentation and communication.
  • \n
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple cases.
  • \n
  • Self-motivated with the capacity to work independently while contributing to team objectives.

Preferred Experience\n

  • Experience working with geriatric populations is preferred but not mandatory.

  • Familiarity with mental health crisis intervention techniques and crisis counseling.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this full-time position ranges from USD 50,000 to 122,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
