Job Description As a Security Officer - Screening Specialist in Livonia, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients across industries such as Logistics & Distribution. Position Details Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $17.43 / Hour Daytime Schedule: Mon 02:00 PM – 10:00 PM, Tue 02:00 PM – 10:00 PM, Wed 02:00 PM – 10:00 PM, Thu 02:00 PM – 10:00 PM What You’ll Do Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out assigned security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a busy logistics and distribution location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting relevant details and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership. Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout loading areas, parking lots, entrances, trailer yards, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions. Monitor access points, check credentials, and observe the movement of people, vehicles, and deliveries to deter unauthorized entry and support site operations. Report hazards, equipment issues, suspicious activity, and policy violations, and follow post instructions when addressing routine issues, alarms, and after‑hours activity. Minimum Requirements Access control and badge experience is preferred. X‑ray screening experience is preferred. CPR and/or First Aid is preferred. Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
