Employee Type:RegularWork Shift:Day - 8 hour shift (United States of America)**Join Team Tidelands and help people live better lives through better health!** **Radiologic Technologist II** **A Brief Overview** Radiologic Technologist perform radiographic procedures at a technical level requiring sound understanding of anatomical positioning and physiology; a high degree of technical competency and with the ability to act with initiative and ingenuity with minimal supervision. Apply ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis in adult and/or pediatric radiology. Employees in this position will be responsible for inpatient on-call and shift rotation. **What you will do*** Provide excellent patient care by educating and preparing patients for their procedure while utilizing effective communication.* Ensure patient comfort and safety for the duration of their procedure.* Obtain and document accurate patient medical history to assist radiologist’s interpretation.* Position and instruct patient while utilizing protective shielding, immobilization, and supportive devices as required.* Perform standard diagnostic radiographic procedures as required by physician’s order.* Perform a variety of diagnostic procedures to include but not limited to fluoroscopy, C-arm in the Operating Room, digital and mobile imaging at applicable locations.* Select proper exposure factors of radiographic equipment for each examination.* Completion of exam in hospital information system.* Cleaning and maintaining all imaging equipment.* May also assist with mentoring and/or training students, new hires. **Education Qualifications*** Associate's Degree from an approved Radiologic Technology program Required **Experience Qualifications*** Minimum of one (1) year Radiologic Technology experience Preferred **Skills and Abilities*** Understand and utilize ALARA concepts and critical thinking* Time management* Effective communication. **Licenses and Certifications*** Radiography - American Registry Radiologic Technologist Required* Radiography - South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association Required* Basic Life Support Certified - American Heart Association is required within 30 days of hire.
