Surgical Technologist

Job Summary:

The Surgical Technologist is responsible for handling instruments, supplies, and equipment during surgical procedures while anticipating the surgeon's needs. This role supports the surgical team by ensuring a sterile environment and efficient procedure flow. The position requires graduation from an accredited Surgical Technologist Program and the ability to adapt to various surgical settings and operational needs. Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment for procedures.
• Assist the surgical team by anticipating surgeon's needs during operations.
• Ensure sterile field and adherence to infection control protocols.
• Support patient safety and comfort throughout surgical procedures.
• May be required to float to other units or departments based on staffing and operational needs.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technologist Program.
• Knowledge of surgical instruments and sterile techniques.
• Ability to anticipate and respond to surgeon's needs during procedures.
• Less than 1 year experience accepted.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Previous experience in a surgical or hospital setting (preferred but not required).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Special Considerations:

• Travelers must not be first-time travelers.
• May be required to float to other units, departments, or patient care areas.
• Performance expectations are strict; failure to meet standards may result in immediate contract termination.

Scheduling:

• Shift assignments and schedules may vary based on staffing and operational needs.
• Flexibility to work different shifts or units as required.
