We are looking for a Support Associate with strong computer skills who is detail-oriented, interested in working in a technical manufacturing business, and wanting to grow their knowledge and skills.
Support the Supply Chain department by processing work orders, and performing parts purchasing. Review BOMs, assist in finding vendors, place orders for parts. Learn and follow procedures to initiate inspection sheets, and ensure accurate information flow to Production departments. Other clerical tasks include assisting Accounting with data entry for AP, AR tasks, and other follow up support tasks with Supply Chain team and general office support.
As a custom optics manufacturer, we build to a customer’s print and specifications. Therefore, accuracy is of upmost importance. It is important to audit your work and verify given information against multiple sources. Any discrepancies must be researched and corrected before information is passed on.
Requirements:
Minimum HS diploma with a strong interest in science, technology, or math. College Associate's Degree preferred.
Previous exposure to engineering documentation and familiarity with BOMs.
Computer data entry skills. Previous experience with Sage is helpful.
Proofreading and auditing skills. Aptitude for accuracy.
Previous clerical experience including at least 2 years in a data entry role preferred.
This job is located at our offices. No remote work option.
