Behavioral Health Services Supervisor - Inpatient Discharge Planning

About the Position Behavioral Health Services Supervisor – Inpatient Discharge Planning – Riverside, CA. The Behavioral Health Department of the Riverside University Health System (RUHS) seeks a licensed professional (LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC) to supervise multidisciplinary staff providing behavioral health services to consumers who have been hospitalized. The role will involve hiring, training, overseeing, and working with Clinical Therapists, Behavioral Health Specialists, Peer Specialists, and Community Service Assistants to support safe transitions from hospital to community-based care. Schedule: 9‑80. Driver’s license required. Eligible for a 10% DTR differential. Key responsibilities: Plan, assign, direct, supervise, and coordinate multidisciplinary staff providing behavioral health, social, and rehabilitation services. Evaluate unit activities, recommend programmatic changes, and ensure consistency with goals. Evaluate personnel performance, conduct hiring interviews, and recommend staffing decisions. Provide guidance via casework conferences, staff meetings, and in‑service training. Make decisions on difficult consumer assessment and casework matters. Collaborate with public, private, and community organizations to achieve program goals. Participate in conferences, committees, and community needs assessments. Assist with annual budgeting, monitor expenditures, and prepare workload reports. Minimum Qualifications Two (2) years of post‑license professional experience in a psychiatric or behavioral health setting providing direct client services including assessment, treatment planning, psychotherapy or counseling, and indirect services to staff and community. Valid California license as LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC issued by the California State Board of Behavioral Science. Proficiency in computer and organizational skills. Supervisory or leadership experience.
