Axis Chevrolet, a family-owned franchised dealership in Jersey City, NJ, is hiring an experienced Automotive Accounts Receivable Clerk. This is a dealership-only role: we are looking for someone who has spent years inside a dealer accounting office and knows the schedules cold.
PAY: $28–$34 per hour based on experience
SIGN-ON BONUS: $2,000 ($1,000 at 30 days, $1,000 at 90 days)

SCHEDULE: Full-time, on-site in Jersey City
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own the AR schedules: contracts in transit, factory receivables, warranty and rebate receivables, parts and service charge accounts, and customer receivables
- Post and reconcile cash, lender fundings, and manufacturer payments daily
- Chase unfunded deals with F&I and lenders; follow up on outstanding warranty and incentive claims with the manufacturer
- Reconcile schedules monthly and clear aged items before close
- Work directly with the Controller, F&I, and service/parts managers to keep receivables clean
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 5+ years of accounts receivable experience in a franchised automotive dealership (required)
- Hands-on experience with a dealer DMS (CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, Dealertrack, or similar) and schedule reconciliation
- Understanding of contracts in transit, factory receivables, warranty claims, and dealer incentives
- Accurate, organized, and comfortable working to a monthly close deadline
- Able to start immediately
