Experience: Minimum years of experience required. Hospital experience is essential. Preferred experience in oncology, but palliative/hospice care experience will be considered.

License: Maryland Social Work License at the LCSW-C level or an active equivalent advanced clinical license from out of state.

Certifications: None specified.

Must-Have:

• Epic experience is required.
• Experience working in the psychological, social, emotional, financial, and practical care domains is necessary.

Description: Candidates must complete a thorough application with the licensing board prior to clearance. Experience should include biopsychosocial assessments, development of care plans, and interventions based on assessments. Care coordination and discharge planning experience is required. Identification of regional/state/federal resources is essential. Candidates should possess knowledge of health insurance and the financial implications of chronic illness. Experience with crisis counseling, suicide assessment, and short-term counseling is necessary. Ability to conduct family meetings and provide end-of-life and advance care planning support is essential. Candidates must be comfortable working in an oncology setting with seriously ill patients and families. Comfort with terminal illness, grief, and loss is a must. Ability to work in a fast-paced academic healthcare setting is required. Candidates should be able to learn and utilize Telehealth systems effectively.
