Software Engineering Manager
Neura Market
About the Role We're hiring an Engineering Manager to lead and grow a team of engineers while staying close to the technology. You'll own your team's delivery, health, and growth — hiring and developing engineers, driving execution, and partnering across functions — without losing the technical judgment that earns your team's trust. This is a people‑leadership role for someone who has built and run high‑performing teams and brings a strong engineering foundation to the job. What You’ll Do Own your team's delivery, health, and growth — planning, execution, and shipping across one or more teams. Hire, grow, and retain engineers; run 1:1s, performance management, and career development. Set and raise engineering standards, processes, and ways of working. Provide technical direction and pressure-test decisions without micromanaging. Partner with product, design, and leadership; manage up and across. Own team-level operational excellence, including incident and on-call ownership. What We’re Looking For 8–12 years of total engineering experience, including 3+ years of direct engineering leadership (people management) — owning a team's delivery, growth, and performance, not solely tech‑lead/IC seniority. A track record of hiring, growing, and retaining engineers, with positive retention and team‑health outcomes. Delivery ownership across one or more teams and strong cross‑functional partnership with PM, design, and leadership. A strong underlying engineering foundation comparable to a Staff Engineer: driving architecture and technical direction across multiple services or teams. Deep distributed systems and cloud‑native architecture knowledge; engineering judgment retained alongside the management role. Demonstrated impact on multi‑team technical direction, migrations/modernization, reliability/performance, and engineering standards. A degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related engineering field is preferred but not required — we weight work outcomes most heavily. Nice to Have AI platform architecture experience. Agentic systems / LLM infrastructure experience. Benefits Competitive compensation Flexible working hours Equal Opportunity Employer Turing is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
