Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med Surg Telemetry position requiring a TX or compact RN license and 2 years of experience.

Details

• Work in the Med Surg Telemetry unit (3 North) of a hospital environment
• 28-bed Renal Med Surg unit
• Uses Epic charting system
• Shift schedule: 06:45-19:15
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active RN license (TX or compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), both must be AHA
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start

Additional Information

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols
• Implement and monitor patient care plans while communicating patient condition to the care team
• Serve as primary coordinator across disciplines for well-coordinated patient care
• Carry out physician and nursing orders and assess discharge planning needs
• Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment
• Navy/maroon scrubs required
• Local candidates accepted, though a radius rule may apply that can affect pay rate
