Work Environment

As a remote telehealth service, our organization utilizes advanced digital platforms to ensure effective therapy sessions while maintaining convenience and accessibility for clients. Therapists will employ virtual tools to deliver high-quality care in a flexible setting, as we understand the importance of adapting to the evolving landscape of mental health services.

The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some flexibility required to accommodate the individual needs of patients across different time zones.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth, culturally sensitive mental health assessments to identify the unique experiences and needs of patients, forming the foundation for personalized treatment plans.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions that are specifically tailored to the cultural and personal backgrounds of individual patients.
• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions designed to address mental health issues, foster resilience, and support overall well-being.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of professionals—including psychiatrists and psychologists—to ensure patients receive comprehensive care.
• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during acute mental health episodes, employing effective de-escalation techniques as necessary.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health disorders, treatment options, and community resources, empowering them to take an active role in their care.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with all legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently.
• Participate actively in case conferences, team meetings, and ongoing cultural competency training to enhance collaborative practice.
• Keep abreast of current research and best practices related to mental health therapy and cultural considerations, ensuring the delivery of informed care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population includes individuals from a variety of backgrounds, particularly those who come from ethnic and cultural minority groups, plus members of the LGBTQ+ community. We also serve immigrant populations who may face unique challenges related to identity and acculturation. As a therapist in our practice, your role is integral to guiding these individuals toward improved mental health outcomes and personal growth.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• Possession of a current and valid license to practice as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Connecticut is essential.
• Demonstrated deep understanding of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment methods, with a strong emphasis on cultural competence.
• Experience in providing individual and group therapy while employing culturally responsive and inclusive approaches to care.
• Proven skills in crisis intervention and the ability to manage challenging scenarios with a calm and thoughtful demeanor.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, with a track record of building rapport with diverse populations.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant software applications is preferred.
• Commitment to professional ethics, maintaining confidentiality, and adhering to established guidelines.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care to patients.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in telehealth settings or providing remote therapy is highly valued, allowing seamless adaptation to our digital service model.
• Prior training or certification in specialized therapeutic modalities or interventions that cater to diverse patient needs are advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
