Highlights: Work in a comprehensive 8-bed perinatal unit with approximately 300 births annually in a Level III Trauma Center Full-scope L&D nursing: provide care across triage, labor, delivery, postpartum, and nursery – training provided for nursery and lactation skills Care for patients with high-risk conditions including preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, and twin pregnancies; no deliveries before 35 weeks Autonomous practice environment with RNs providing independent care during nights and weekends when physicians and anesthesia are not in-house Charge rate differential available (additional $5.00/hour) Opportunity to work in a non-profit community health system serving both residents and visitors to the Lake Tahoe region Requirements: Active California RN license in good standing Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required; 5 years preferred Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NRP (AAP), and Fetal Heart Monitoring (NCC or AWHONN accepted) STABLE certification preferred Strong neonatal resuscitation skills and ability to attend cesarean sections independently Proficiency with electronic medical record documentation Completion of comprehensive credentialing requirements including background check, drug screening (9-panel urine; note: oral THC swab performed on first day), immunizations, and competency validation Must be a self-starter, adaptable, and open to coaching with excellent communication skills Why Join Us?
