Job Title: Recruiter Reports To: HR Director Job category: Individual contributor Management Division: Scented & Living Solutions Department: Human Resources Location: Manitowoc, WI Description / Scope / Mission Recruiting hourly, non-exempt, and salaried exempt personnel. Evaluates applicants by discussing job requirements and applicant qualifications with managers and interviewing applicants on a consistent set of qualifications. Assist the Human Resources Director with administrative duties as requested. Key Responsibilities/ Accountabilities A. Source and recruit all candidates by using databases, social media, etc. B. Screen candidates resume and job applications. C. Conduct interviews using various reliable recruiting and selection tools/methods to filter candidates. D. Complete reference and background checks on candidates. E. Assess applicants’ relevant knowledge, skills, soft, skills, experience, and aptitudes. F. Provide analytical and well documented recruiting reports to the team. G. Act as a point of contact and build candidate relationships during the selection process. H. Promote the company’s reputation as an “Employer of Choice.” I. Assist in the job posting and advertising process in order to attract qualified candidates. J. Facilitate the offer process by extending an offer once approved by HR Director. K. Stay abreast of recruiting trends and best practices. L. Manage the overall interview, selection, and closing process for hourly personnel. M. Schedule pre-employment testing after a contingent offer of employment has been made. N. Ensure all screening, hiring, and selection is done in accordance with employment laws and regulations. O. Work with temporary agencies in obtaining hourly employees based on production needs, as a supplement. P. Track temporary employment hours for hiring as Northern Labs employees after they reach 480 hours. Q. Conduct orientations and onboarding process for new hires, transfer, promotions, etc. R. Attend job fairs as needed. S. Track paperwork for new hires. T. Posting jobs on TV monitors and bulletin boards. U. Work with training processes and documents as needed. V. Back up the receptionist as needed. W. Back up for Verkada Access Card system and Dayforce system. X. Other duties as assigned by management. MARGINAL JOB DUTIES Assist EHS Manager with administrative tasks as needed. Education / Certification / Qualifications / Experience Associate Degree in Business or Human Resources or equivalent experience. At least one year experience recruiting hourly, non-exempt personnel Experience with automated time clock system. Computer knowledge – Excel, Word, Mircosoft Outlook and Teams, Skpe Human Resources background desired. LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED None Specific Knowledge: (Technical/Product, Organizational and Interpersonal) PHYSICAL DEMANDS Stand; and walk up to 1/3 of the time. Sit 1/3 to 2/3 of the time. Use hands to finger, handle or touch; and talk or hear 2/3 and more of the time. Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less). Distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more. Color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors). Ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus). TOOLS/EQUIPMENT USED Desk calculator, copy machine, fax machine and printer up to 1/3 of the time. Computer 2/3 and more of the time. WORK ENVIRONMENT/PPE REQUIRED Moderate noise. Work will be conducted in an office as well as a factory setting. Safety glasses, hair net, sturdy work shoes when in factory areas.
