Role Performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures to examine tissue and body structures, producing high-quality images for interpretation. Responsibilities Sets up and adjusts equipment, maneuvers transducers, ensures safety and quality control, performs routine and complex studies, recognizes pathology, maintains equipment, submits images promptly, and maintains department cleanliness and regulatory compliance. Qualifications Completion of a Sonography program; no prior experience required. Skills Physical stamina for constant standing, walking, lifting, reaching, and occasional bending; keen vision and hearing; effective communication; ability to operate ultrasound equipment and maintain safety standards. Certifications Must hold current BLS Healthcare Provider certification and be registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer with two or more appropriate ARDMS specialties such as Abdomen, OB/GYN, MSK, Breast, Fetal Echocardiography, or Vascular, depending on department.
