Specialty/Senior Specialty Representative - Bone Health - Rochester/Buffalo, NY (Overlay)

AstraZeneca seeks a Senior Medical Science Liaison for cell therapy in Texas to serve as the local medical voice, build regional strategy, and advance patient care in multiple myeloma. The role combines field-based scientific engagement with hematology thought leaders and clinical teams across academic and community centers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scientific relationships with hematology and cell therapy thought leaders across assigned territory
• Engage with multidisciplinary clinical teams including physicians, pharmacists, and nursing staff on CAR-T mechanisms and patient management
• Respond to scientific and product information requests in compliance with company policy
• Support infusion center implementation and healthcare provider navigation of cell therapy complexities
• Gather regional insights and identify gaps to inform medical affairs strategy and address unmet needs

Requirements

• Advanced degree (PharmD, MD/DO, PhD, PA, or NP) in health science or clinical discipline
• 5+ years hematology/oncology experience with 2+ years in field medical or scientific engagement role
• Clear written and verbal communication with ability to simplify complex scientific concepts
• Experience supporting development and launch of pharmaceutical products in the U.S.
• Ability to work in matrixed environment across Medical Affairs, Commercial, and R&D functions
• Willingness to travel 40-60% domestically by various transportation methods
• Direct cell therapy and/or multiple myeloma expertise preferred
