As client-facing professionals, our Front Desk Receptionists play a key role in representing our practice within the community. Duties and responsibilities for this role typically include:- Greeting patients professionally both in person and on the phone
- Quickly answering or properly referring questions and issues
- Optimizing provider schedules and client satisfaction with efficient scheduling
- Comforting all clients by anticipating anxieties and effectively answering questions.
- Ensuring availability of treatment information by retrieving and updating client records
- Accurately collecting and verifying all client demographics, insurance, financial records and collecting client charges for the purpose of initiating a clean third-party claim.
- Communication skills to converse clearly over the telephone and in person, letting the caller hear your smile!
- Organization and time management to manage a variety of tasks effectively.
- Attention to detail to schedule clients correctly and communicate scheduling difficulties with providers
- Basic technological skills, such as using an EMR, word processing and spreadsheet programs to track data
- Emotional Intelligence skills to interact positively with patients who may be upset or stressed.
- Maintaining a Clean & Neat Organized working environment.
- Must have a good understanding of Health Insurances (i.e. Allowable Amounts, Copays, Coinsurance, and Deductibles) to discuss with clients when performing client intakes.
- Must have a good understanding of Federal HIPAA guidelines and protecting confidential client information.
- Must be familiar with MS Office, including Outlook, Word & Excel, Typing 30+ words/min.
- Ability to Critically Think and problem solve
