We are comprised of a 144-bed hospital, home care services, and a vast scope of award-winning services located throughout Ventura County. The suburban area allows for outdoor activities, such as hiking, while being in proximity to urban attractions.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for delivering coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards and the nursing process. The role requires supervising and directing activities of various levels of nursing staff, and coordinating care with other disciplines while applying critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment.

Job Requirements

Education and Work Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN): Preferred
• Acute care facility experience: Preferred

Licenses/Certifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Required
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification: Required
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification: Required
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale: Required

Essential Functions

• Collects relevant data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
• Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues.
• Develops and implements care plans, prescribing interventions to attain desired outcomes.
• Coordinates care delivery and employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment.
• Evaluates progress toward reaching outcomes and identifies the outcomes for the patient.
• Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers in a safe, healing, and caring environment.
• Provides educational opportunities for patients, families, and team members.
• Directly provides health information to patients and families.
• Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
• Effectively delegates duties and coordinates responsibilities among healthcare team members.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
