P-Physical Therapist Assistant

Position: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – Geriatric. Salary Range: $45-50 per hour. Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday‑Friday, no weekend rotation. Facility: 126‑bed Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF). Key Responsibilities Assist in the evaluation and treatment of patients under the direction of a licensed physical therapist. Implement individualized treatment plans to help patients improve their mobility, strength, and overall physical function. Monitor and document patient progress and communicate updates to the physical therapist and other members of the healthcare team. Educate patients and their families on exercises and activities to improve their condition and prevent further injury. Collaborate with other therapists and healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients. Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date patient records and documentation. Adhere to all facility policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations related to physical therapy services. Qualifications Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. Current state PTA license. Minimum of 1‑2 years of experience in a geriatric setting preferred. Strong knowledge of physical therapy principles and techniques. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Compassionate and patient‑centered approach to care. Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical records.
