Clinical Laboratory Technologist
Labcorp
Labcorp seeks a Clinical Laboratory Technologist for its Fairhope, Alabama facility to perform routine and complex laboratory testing procedures, operate instrumentation, and ensure quality control. The role involves evening shift work Monday–Friday with rotating weekends and offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus for external candidates.
Responsibilities
- Assess specimen acceptability for testing per established criteria
- Perform routine and complex technical procedures following departmental protocols
- Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation
- Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents and quality control materials
- Document preventative maintenance and report accurate, timely test results
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical/Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
- Minimum 1 year clinical laboratory testing experience or MLS degree
- ASCP or AMT certification preferred
- Proficiency with computers and laboratory information systems
- Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
- Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills
Compensation: $5,000 sign-on bonus (external candidates only)
