An opportunity is available for an experienced Pharmacist-in-Charge to oversee pharmacy operations at a retail pharmacy integrated with a hospital setting. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in pharmacy management and patient care, looking to contribute to a collaborative healthcare environment.
Location:
- Eveleth, MN, with duties supporting a hospital-attached retail pharmacy in Hibbing, MN.
- Monday through Friday, daytime hours
- No nights or weekend shifts
- Manage daily pharmacy operations as the working pharmacist-in-charge
- Verify, fill, and accurately check prescriptions to ensure patient safety
- Oversee and provide guidance to pharmacy technicians
- Collaborate closely with healthcare providers to coordinate patient care
- Counsel patients on prescription and OTC medications, providing clear and helpful advice
- Licensed Pharmacist with experience as a Pharmacist-in-Charge or working manager
- Strong knowledge of retail pharmacy operations, especially in hospital outpatient settings
- Excellent communication skills for provider consultation and patient interaction
- Ability to supervise pharmacy staff effectively while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and patient safety
This is a contract position with a 13-week duration, starting as soon as possible. It offers a consistent weekday schedule without nights or weekend obligations. The role focuses on supporting patient transitions from hospital care through thorough medication management and counseling.
