Physical Therapist (PT) - Outpatient

This PT role in outpatient clinics delivers rehabilitation services to individuals with musculoskeletal, sport, or neurological conditions to restore function and prevent recurrence.

The position emphasizes patient education, goal-directed therapy, and coordination with the broader care team for timely follow-up.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat musculoskeletal and neuromuscular conditions; create individualized therapy plans.
• Provide manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and education on activity modification.
• Monitor progress, document outcomes, and adjust plans to meet goals.
• Coordinate with physicians, athletic trainers, and therapists to optimize care and referrals.
• Educate patients on home exercises and injury prevention strategies.

Qualifications

Education: Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent; state licensure required.

Licensure: Current PT license in the United States.

Certifications:

• CPR/BLS
• NBCOT certification is common but not mandatory

Experience or Skills: Experience in outpatient rehabilitation with strong evaluation and communication skills.

Experience

• 1-3 years in outpatient PT
• Experience with diverse patient populations and conditions

Preferred

• Specialization in sports or hand therapy
• Experience with telehealth or digital home exercise programs

Work Environment

Ambulatory clinics with scheduled appointments and potential for early morning or late afternoon slots.

Documentation in EHR and collaboration with referring physicians and clinical staff.
