Job Summary:

The position is for a Clinical Nurse (CN) specializing in Operating Room Open Heart procedures, located in Stanford, California. This role involves providing hands-on care to patients within the scope of practice defined by the California Nursing Practice Act, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and hospital policies. The Clinical Nurse will collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to deliver family-centered care, perform assessments, implement interventions, and support patient recovery.

Job Details:

• Location: 500 Pasteur Drive, Stanford, CA 94305
• Shift: Rotating, with a schedule of 12 hours per shift
• Minimum Hours per Week: 36 hours
• Start Date: 07/20/2026
• Certifications and Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited college or university preferred; licensed as CA-Registered Nurse (RN); current American Heart Association Certification for Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers
• Required Qualifications: CA-RN (Registered Nurse) license; current BLS certification; 1 year of clinical nursing experience
• Additional Information: The candidate will undergo a two-step drug screening process including an oral drug test and Breath Alcohol test. Blood tests such as Quantiferon TB are required within 90 days of the start date. Completion of facility-specific exams, including EKG testing with a score of 85% or higher within two attempts, is mandatory before start. Various forms and credentialing documentation must be submitted by 07/24/2026. Background, employment, and education verification are in progress. The role requires a strong ability to respond quickly to clinical situations, effective communication, and compliance with all safety and practice standards.
