Position Overview


We are seeking a certified Respiratory Care Therapist (RRT or CRT) for a day shift position in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). This role requires NRP certification and travel experience.


Shift Details

  • Shift Type: Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:00)
  • Location: City, State
Job Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years with charge experience preferred
  • Certifications Required:

    • ACLS
    • BLS
    • CRT
    • NRP
    • RRT
  • Travel Experience: Required
  • Charting System: Experience with Community Hospital charting system is required
  • Patient Ratio Experience: Must be familiar with standard patient ratios
Skills and Responsibilities


The ideal candidate will have experience and skills in the following areas:
  • Adult and Pediatric Critical Care
  • Aerosol setup for masks and tracheostomies
  • Management of Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS) and other respiratory conditions
  • Assisting in high-risk deliveries
  • Performing intubation and extubation procedures
  • Administering treatments for conditions like Cystic Fibrosis, Pneumonia, and RSV
  • Conducting patient transports inter-departmentally
  • Utilizing advanced ventilation techniques and equipment
Unit Details
  • Patient Demographics: Neonates, Adults, Geriatrics
  • Interdisciplinary Support: Services provided by IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Social Services, and more

Additional Information


Candidates must be prepared to float to different areas within the hospital as needed. Orientation will include a combination of virtual and on-site training.
