Supervisor - Urgent Care - Full Time - Metairie/River Ridge

Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise daily operations of all personnel and processes within the department’s appointment desks. Plan, organize, and coordinate staffing and staff development/training. Implement policies and procedures and lead initiatives to improve processes, maximize efficiency, serve internal and external customers, and maintain high employee morale and patient satisfaction. Lead the team unit according to organizational values and expectations. Schedule Monday – Friday, rotate between Metairie and River Ridge Urgent Cares. Education Required: High School diploma or equivalent. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree. Work Experience Required: 3 years of related healthcare/clinical experience with exhibited leadership or supervisory experience. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs) Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications. Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process. Ability to demonstrate excellent judgment in performing duties and conflict resolution skills. Strong delegation skills. Ability to work a flexible schedule (e.g., 24/7, weekend, holiday, on call availability). Job Duties Work closely with clinical colleagues, physicians, and coordinators to continually assess and improve the operational procedures of the unit. Supervise, train and develop department staff. Use performance management information to monitor and measure the performance of the operational unit as a team and individual team members. Ensure that appropriate internal controls, backups, and policy guidelines are communicated to department leaders so that testing is completed prior to implementing new processes to minimize risks. Develop unit-specific systems to promote patient courtesy and responsive service delivery. Supervise and resolve patient complaints and requests for service immediately and courteously. Adapt behavior to the specific patient population, respecting privacy and communicating effectively. Perform other related duties as required. Physical and Environmental Demands • Sedentary work with occasional lifting up to 10 pounds. • Normal routine involves no exposure to blood, body fluid or tissue. • May be exposed to hazardous medications or waste due to duties in the healthcare setting.
