DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position supports laboratory and storage operations by maintaining supplies, handling shipments, and ensuring safe storage practices. As a Stock Clerk 3, you will perform the following duties:
- Inventory Management: Maintain stock levels, check supply quantities, and track chemicals and gases accurately
- Storage Oversight: Keep the chemical storage room clean, safe, and organized while monitoring items that are nearing expiration
- Shipment Handling: Receive, tag, store, and distribute incoming chemicals, gases, and supplies based on laboratory needs
- Operational Support: Move materials between labs and the loading dock, return coolers, and transport hazardous waste according to safety rules
- Data Entry: Enter information into automated inventory and departmental electronic systems with accuracy and consistency
- Vehicle and Equipment Transport: Drive fleet vehicles locally and move laboratory instruments or records as requested
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Three years of experience in stores control work, including one year of experience with responsibility for the operation of a small storeroom; and such training as may have been gained through graduation from a high school or vocational school; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
- This particular position also requires possession of a current driver's license which is not under suspension.
