Role Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Associate Postconviction Counsel at Harrison Freelance Legal located in New Bern, NC. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by advocating for individuals navigating the complexities of the criminal justice system. The ideal candidate will possess strong research and writing capabilities, a sharp litigation acumen, and collaborative mindset. Working closely with our senior attorney, the associate attorney will play an integral role in preparing legal documents, managing case files and representing clients in court. The position demands both compassion and tenacity, as we strive to deliver exceptional service and outcomes for our clients.
Qualifications
- Excellent Legal Research with the ability to analyze complex legal issues.
- Proficient writing skills for drafting clear and persuasive legal documents.
- Ability to litigate effectively in court room settings.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for client interaction and collaboration with colleagues.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the bar in relevant jurisdiction.
