Overview:
Mastercard’s Enterprise Credit Risk (ECR) team is seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer – Java Full Stack to design, build, and modernize applications that power credit decisioning, portfolio risk management, lender workflows, customer experiences, and analytics across Mastercard’s lending and risk ecosystem.
This role is ideal for an experienced software engineer who enjoys solving complex business problems through technology and working across the full application stack. The successful candidate will partner closely with Product, Engineering, Risk, Architecture, and Data teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing applications that improve operational efficiency, simplify lending decisions, and create exceptional user experiences.
The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on Java backend expertise combined with modern frontend development experience, a passion for engineering excellence, and the ability to contribute to technical design and delivery across the application lifecycle.
This is a hybrid role based in O’Fallon, MO, requiring three days per week onsite.

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
