Phlebotomist / Contract Position / Corrections

Location: Wilsonville, OR Pay Rate: Competitive Pay of $30 per hour Assignment Length: 8 weeks Pay Frequency: Weekly Pay Schedule: TBD Start Date: TBD

Phlebotomist Job Requirements

• Current Phlebotomy Certification (where applicable)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross
• Minimum of 1–2 years of recent phlebotomy experience
• Proficient in venipuncture and specimen collection for patients of varying ages and conditions
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting; correctional healthcare experience is a plus
• COVID-19 vaccination required
• Recent TB Test or Chest X-Ray
• Ability to pass criminal background check(s) and drug screening
• Reliable transportation and smartphone

Phlebotomist Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection accurately and safely
• Properly label, process, and prepare specimens for laboratory testing
• Maintain infection control and safety standards during all procedures
• Verify patient identity and ensure accurate documentation
• Monitor patients during and after blood collection for any adverse reactions
• Maintain equipment and supplies needed for specimen collection
• Work collaboratively with nursing and healthcare staff to provide quality patient care
