Job Summary and Qualifications

Job Summary:

The Telemetry Technician delivers high quality, patient-centered care by maintaining close observation of patient electrocardiograph monitor output. The Telemetry Technician observes, interprets, and records cardiac telemetry tracings at a central monitoring station and alerts the designated nurse and/or care team member of changes in patient condition. The Telemetry Technician possesses knowledge of dysrhythmia interpretation and utilizes effective communication with unit personnel and interdisciplinary team members.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required
• Experience in an acute care setting and/or as a Monitor Technician preferred
