VP, Buy‑side M&A and Ownership Transition Advisor Application Deadline: 07/25/2026 Position Overview The BMO Corporate Advisory team (BCA) delivers advisory services for strategic transactions and corporate finance topics. As a key leader on deal teams, you will partner with clients and prospects to understand their objectives, collaborate across the BMO Financial Group, and provide creative, comprehensive advice and financial analyses. Responsibilities Serve as a key member of the relationship team to position BMO as a strategic advisor. Lead strategic discussions with boards of directors, shareholders, and executive management teams of clients and prospects. Prepare and deliver customized corporate finance analysis and presentations. Provide leadership to relationship teams to deliver high‑quality, comprehensive transaction execution. Collaborate with commercial banking teams to generate ideas, identify client solutions, and pursue sector marketing efforts. Provide transaction structuring expertise on debt, equity, and hybrid securities. Work with specialists as needed to support successful syndication and sales. Mentor and develop junior team members. Present at events and conferences and develop thought leadership pieces. Collaborate with other constituents across the bank to drive new initiatives. Qualifications Undergraduate degree in finance, economics, or accounting. MBA or equivalent experience in finance, accounting, and business law. 7+ years of experience in investment banking, corporate development, or corporate finance. Experience advising ESOPs throughout the lifecycle. Experience negotiating and structuring M&A and other transactions. Expert knowledge of capital markets, transaction legal matters, and risk management. Proven leadership skills, including mentoring and developing junior talent. Understanding of credit analysis. Compensation Salary range: $102,000.00 – $190,000.00 (salaried). Compensation may include commissions, performance‑based incentives, discretionary bonuses, and other perks and rewards.
