Description POSITION SUMMARY: The Regional Support / Centralized Scheduler supports agency-wide access, productivity, and revenue integrity by centrally managing first-time patient scheduling across clinic locations. This role serves as the initial point of contact for new patients and ensures accurate, real-time use of provider availability. By reducing scheduling delays, improving provider matching, and supporting clinic operations, this position directly contributes to increased productivity and reduced revenue loss. The role also provides targeted administrative and reporting support to Behavioral Health leadership.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES: Knowledge of medical/behavioral health scheduling practices preferred. Understanding of insurance verification and patient intake processes. Familiarity with provider paneling and appointment coordination concepts. Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to manage high call and scheduling volume. Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills. High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and scheduling. Ability to analyze provider availability and make appropriate scheduling decisions. Problem-solving skills with ability to reduce patient access barriers. Ability to work independently and in a team-based environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and virtual communication tools (e.g., Webex). Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information appropriately. Adaptability in a fast-paced, multi-site healthcare environment,
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS: Prolonged periods of sitting while working at a computer workstation. Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, data entry, and phone system operation. Occasional standing, walking, or reaching within the work environment. Ability to lift up to 10-15 pounds occasionally (files, office supplies). Primarily office-based environment at the Elizabethtown Clinic.
SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS/TASKS/RESPONSIBILIITES: Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to manage high call and scheduling volume. Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills. High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and scheduling. Ability to analyze provider availability and make appropriate scheduling decisions. Problem-solving skills with ability to reduce patient access barriers. QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field preferred. Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in scheduling, healthcare administration, call center, or customer service role preferred MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS: 1. Adheres to all policies and procedures of Inlet Health and subsidiaries.
2. Attends mandatory in-services and other training/educational programs as required.

- Serve as the primary point of contact for new patients via phone and online intake forms
- Maintain accurate, real-time visibility of provider availability to ensure timely scheduling [
- Reduce extended wait times caused by inconsistent scheduling practices across clinics -
- Ensure patients are scheduled with appropriately paneled providers to minimize denied claims and write-offs
- Collect and verify patient information prior to scheduling appointments
- Communicate appointment details, preparation instructions, and next steps clearly to patients
- Maintain accurate scheduling records for reporting and operational oversight
- Assist with monthly productivity report preparation and maintenance [
- Provide clinic coverage support when staffing shortages occur, in coordination with leadership
- Utilize Webex and other virtual tools to support centralized/remote scheduling functions
- Collaborate with clinic, regional, and administrative teams to ensure continuity of services
- Adhere to organizational policies, compliance standards, and quality expectations
