Location: 4717 Main Avenue - Ashtabula, Ohio 44004 Job Posting Expiration Date: 09/25/2026 Job Summary Be a problem solver, trusted advisor, and partner to the people and businesses in our KeyBank communities. As a Teller, you provide excellent client service in person by welcoming both new and existing clients to the Bank and assisting them with their account transactions and servicing needs, including identifying and resolving client servicing issues. You listen for clues for financial wellness opportunities during client conversations and transition clients to a Banker for deeper financial wellness conversations. Essential Functions Embodies a strong client experience culture, being present with every client and teammate and realizing the impact on their day. Assumes responsibility for the efficient, effective, and accurate performance of teller functions in an in‑person branch setting. Proactively work to identify and resolve client servicing issues, escalating as needed. Listen for clues for financial wellness opportunities during client conversations and then appropriately transition the client(s) to a Banker. Assist clients in achieving their financial goals through the use of financial wellness tools. Attend and participate in in‑person morning huddles and end‑of‑day debriefs. Follow compliance, audit and security procedures, balance cash drawer within balancing guidelines. Review and maintain knowledge of product guides, fees, and policies to stay current on offerings. Work on Saturdays as directed by management. Perform other duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities and/or activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice. Comply with all KeyBank policies and procedures, act professionally, conduct business ethically, avoid conflicts of interest, and act in the best interests of Key’s clients. Education High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent business experience (required). Work Experience Experience in a client service role (required). Experience in cash handling (required). General understanding of PC with Windows based applications and calculator (required). Licenses and Certifications Notary License (preferred). Skills Knowledgeable about the client’s accounts and business with the bank and uses sound judgment. Exhibits strong sales and service skills, presenting products and services while proactively educating clients on utilizing available access channels (ATM, online and telephone banking). Strong work ethic and high level of integrity. Excellent time management skills. Managing and maintaining client accounts, ensuring accuracy and security. Educating clients on managing finances effectively and promoting financial health. Identifying opportunities to discuss financial wellness with clients, such as budgeting, saving, and planning for the future, and guiding them to appropriate resources or bank services. Accurately and securely processing cash transactions (deposits, withdrawals, balancing cash drawers at end of shift). Ensuring transaction accuracy and maintaining organized records. Identifying and resolving client servicing issues efficiently. Understanding and following banking regulations and security procedures. Recognizing techniques to detect and prevent fraudulent activities. Collaborating effectively with teammates to ensure smooth operations. Physical Demands Prolonged standing (5‑8 hours per day), frequent use of hands to manipulate/grasp objects. Ability to communicate face to face and on the phone with clients. Occasional bending and lifting from floor height. Frequent forward reach. Frequent lifting of 1–10 lbs.; occasional lifting up to 30 lbs. Compensation and Benefits This position is eligible to earn a base hourly rate in the range of $18.00 - $23.08 per hour. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, and geographic location. Compensation for this role also includes incentive compensation which may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives.
