Business Operations & Compliance Manager Location: Austin, TX | Hybrid / WFH | Relocation considered Experience: 10 years | Start: ASAP Full Time If you are an entrepreneurial, hands-on problem solver who enjoys wearing multiple hats, taking ownership, learning quickly, and getting things done while also thinking strategically this job is for you. We are looking for someone who thrives in a small, growing technology business, is comfortable with ambiguity, understands technology, and naturally looks for ways to improve and automate how a business operates. The Role You will work directly with leadership and own critical areas across business operations, technology, international logistics, compliance, and AI-driven automation. Key Responsibilities Business Operations: Manage critical SaaS systems, subscriptions, payments, vendors, renewals, and day‑to‑day operational reliability, including Mojo Helpdesk. Logistics: Manage China factory relationships and coordinate shipping, logistics, warehousing, and fulfilment across the U.S. and Europe. Compliance: Own the ongoing SOC 2 Type II program and support new compliance requirements such as FERPA. Technology & AI: Identify manual processes and implement automation using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, and Grok. Growth & Execution: Build scalable processes, solve cross‑functional problems, and take on new responsibilities as the company grows. What We’re Looking For 10 years in technology, engineering, software, operations, or a related field. Experience in a small business, startup, or entrepreneurial environment. Strong mix of business operations technology execution. Software/application development background or strong technical understanding; comfortable with both software and hardware. Experience with SOC 2/compliance/audits and/or international logistics/supply chain is highly valuable. Strong communication, writing, analytical, and problem‑solving skills. Comfortable adopting AI and automation. Reliable, adaptable, self‑directed, and willing to occasionally put in extra hours when needed.
