The CNA Caregiver provides compassionate home health care services for seniors within their own homes, ensuring their safety, comfort, and overall well-being. This role involves independent work, delivering personalized care through daily, weekly, or live-in visits, primarily focusing on elderly and post-surgical patients. The caregiver uses standard CNA tools to assist with a variety of personal and medical needs while fostering a supportive and empathetic environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities
- Assist with medication management and reminders
- Monitor vital signs and report changes to healthcare professionals
- Support patient mobility and prevent falls
- Prepare meals according to dietary needs
- Perform housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Offer emotional support to patients and their families
- Ensure patient safety through vigilant monitoring
- Maintain clear and timely communication with patients and medical staff
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience in home health care
- Proven skills in patient care and infection control
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Competency in vital signs monitoring
- Strong communication and empathy skills
- Effective time management abilities
