Mid-Senior Level Associate, Employment Group

Job Description Summary Our Employment Group is seeking an associate with 5+ years of employment law experience in both litigation and counseling for our New York office. The ideal candidate will have experience and aptitude for advising employers (including early and mid-stage start-up companies) on a wide variety of employment law issues such as wage/hour, terminations, reductions in force, leaves of absence, workplace investigations, worker classification assessments, and the preparation or review of employment agreements and policies, including offer letters, handbooks, compensation plans, and separation agreements. Strong litigation skills, including experience managing single plaintiff and complex cases, are required. The candidate must have significant command of employment law, especially New York State and local employment laws, and a business-minded approach to problem solving. Candidates should have top academics and NY bar membership. Job Description The Employment Group counsels and litigates in areas such as employment discrimination, sexual harassment, wrongful termination, wage-hour, trade secrets/non-competition/unfair competition, workplace privacy, executive employment agreements, and many other matters related to hiring, promotion, compensation, and discipline. The firm regularly advises employers and trains managers regarding personnel systems, policies, and practices. The Anticipated Range For This Position Is $365,000 - $390,000 Actual base salary may vary by qualifications, experience, education, certifications, and location.
