This role supports employees and internal teams by managing payroll records, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring timely reporting and payments.**Key Responsibilities*** Assist with payroll processing for biweekly payroll cycle* Ensure proper calculation of wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions* Coordinate and process miscellaneous off-cycle payrolls, including final paychecks and severance payments* Handle payroll adjustments, including retro pay and corrections* Ensure compliance with applicable laws and company policies* Manage garnishments, and benefit deductions* Prepare and distribute payroll reports to leadership and accounting* Respond to employees and external inquiries in a timely and professional manner* Provide excellent customer service when communicating with employees* Stay current on payroll regulations, industry trends, and best practices* Assist management with special projects and process improvements as needed* Support year-end processes, including W-2 preparation and audits**Qualifications*** 2+ years of payroll processing experience, preferably in a multi-state environment* Working knowledge of payroll systems (e.g., Workday, ADP, Paychex, or similar HRIS platforms)* Understanding of federal, state, and local payroll laws and tax regulations* Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy* Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines* Effective communication and customer service skills* Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion### About Us**Nexstar Media Group, Inc.
