Shipping Specialist

Position Overview
The Shipping Specialist is responsible for coordinating domestic and international shipments, maintaining shipping records, and ensuring timely, accurate deliveries. This role supports inventory management, transportation, and trade compliance while working closely with production, customer service, and warehouse teams. This is an on-site position based in Somerset, NJ, five days per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate domestic and international shipments.
• Prepare, review, and maintain shipping and customs documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and air waybills (AWBs) .
• Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs, export regulations, and international shipping requirements.
• Receive, verify, and process incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Enter shipping transactions into the ERP system.
• Accept and sign for deliveries from carriers such as FedEx and UPS.
• Work with production, logistics, and customer service to ensure on-time and accurate order fulfillment.
• Investigate and document shipping discrepancies, damages, and claims.
• Maintain accurate shipping records and inventory data.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of shipping or logistics experience, including domestic and international shipping.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of import/export documentation and shipping regulations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems .
• Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and move packages as needed.
• Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and working at a computer.
• Ability to work in a warehouse and office environment.
