Details Labor & Delivery unit with 9 L&D beds, 3 swing rooms, 2 ORs, and a 3-bed OBED Typical patient ratio of 1-2 Unit supported by dedicated CRNA and midwife in-house 24/7, OB/GYN on call, unit secretary, and scrub tech Documentation via CPN and Meditech systems Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM 4 weekend shifts required per month May float to Mother/Baby or other departments for tasking Performs procedures including circulating in OR, IUPC, FSE, MgSO4 administration, postpartum hemorrhage management with JADA system, and nitrous oxide administration Laborist team model with 24/7 midwives and dedicated CRNA/OB support Couplet care performed in postpartum unit with donor milk availability 8-bed Level 2 NICU with dedicated 24/7 NNP support available for high-risk deliveries Requirements Active RN license (TN or compact) required Minimum 2 years of RN experience required Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP (Advanced 9th Edition), and Fetal Monitoring (AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced, or NCCEFM) No certifications may expire within the first 30 days of assignment start US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted) One professional reference required for consideration No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months Additional Information Provide direct patient care to laboring patients, supporting patient choice and vaginal birth preferences where appropriate Experience with Spinning Babies and STABLE program is helpful but not required Required uniform is hot pink and black, with hot pink preferred on top Unit recognized as an HCA Unit of Distinction in 2021 and serves as a TIPQC pilot hospital for NTSV and Team Birth initiatives Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted American Traveler Job ID P-748203.
