Patient Care Coordinator - Insurance Verification SpecialistFredericksburg, VA Pay From: $21 per hourThe Patient Benefit Representative (Insurance Verification Specialist) must have experience with:EMR experience is a mustStrong experience verifying insurance coverage and reviewing coverage with patientsMinimum 1+ years patient pre-services coordinator requiredProficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)DUTIES:Responsible for educating patient on insurance coverage and benefitsAssess patients financial ability; may educate patient on assistance programsUpdates and maintains existing patient new insurance eligibility, coverage, and benefits in systemPrior to a patient receiving treatment; obtains insurance coverage information and demographics; educates patient on insurance coverage, benefits, co-pays, deductibles, and out-of-pocket expensesAssess patients ability to meet expenses and discusses payment arrangementsBased upon diagnosis, estimated insurance coverage, and financial assistance, completes Patient Cost Estimate formCompletes appropriate reimbursement and liability forms for patient’s review and signatureForwards appropriate information and forms to billing officePerforms additional duties as requestedQuadrant is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
