RN - PACU

PACU Registered NurseThe position requires a registered nurse with experience in the post anesthesia care unit. Candidates must be able to float between pre-op, post-op, and PACU. First-time travelers with experience in all phases of care are accepted. Typical patient ratios are 1-3. No on-call or weekend work is required. The unit caters to various patient demographics including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. The daily census ranges from 36 to 52 patients. Nursing responsibilities include but are not limited to monitoring and managing patients after surgery, administering medications, and providing discharge instructions. Candidates must possess skills in end-tidal CO2 monitoring, airway assessment, medication reconciliation, and various surgical procedures. This role may involve collaboration with interdisciplinary support services such as physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Special equipment utilized includes advanced surgical robots and monitoring devices.
