MRI Technologist - Kingston, PA

Required Qualifications:

• Registered MRI Technologist with certification from ARRT (MRI) or equivalent
• Demonstrated competency in operating MRI equipment and related software
• Strong patient care skills with a compassionate and reassuring approach
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Previous experience in a hospital or outpatient imaging center preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Commitment to maintaining patient privacy and adhering to safety protocols

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform MRI examinations following physician orders and established protocols
• Position patients appropriately and ensure their comfort and safety throughout procedures
• Evaluate images for accuracy and quality before submitting to radiologists for interpretation
• Maintain MRI equipment, report malfunctions, and follow up on necessary maintenance
• Document all patient interactions and scan details accurately in electronic health records
• Screen patients for MRI contraindications and explain the procedure clearly
• Collaborate closely with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
• Uphold infection control and safety standards at all times
