Dietary Cook
Westport Healthcare
The Dietary Cook is responsible for:
- Upholding Live Well's mission statement and attending to our facilities with integrity and attention to detail
- For preparing and cooking meals for residents in accordance with their individual dietary needs and preferences
- You will work closely with the dietary team to ensure that meals are nutritious, delicious and meet all dietary requirements and safety standards
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as cook in healthcare or institutional setting
- Knowledge of dietary requirements
- Familiarly with food safety
- Culinary background or certification from school or program
- Ability to work independently or with a team in a face pace environment
- Standing up to 95% of the time
- Lifting and carrying 25%of the time (up to 50lbs)
- Pushing and pulling 25% of time (up to 50llbs)
- Bending, twisting, reaching, ect.25% of the time
- Work hours may vary and include holiday evenings, weekends.
- Sounds levels may be high due to machinery
- Chemical exposure
- May be exposed to hot surfaces
