Maintenance Technician

Accentuate Staffing is assisting an established manufacturer in the Oxford area who is hiring a Maintenance Technician to join their team. This is a contract-hire opportunity working Monday-Thursday, 6am-4pm.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine preventive and predictive maintenance on production equipment, including motors, conveyors, and pneumatic systems
• Diagnose mechanical issues by observing equipment in operation and using precision measuring tools
• Troubleshoot and repair machinery using manuals, schematics, and technical specifications
• Disassemble equipment to replace or repair defective components using hand and power tools
• Inspect and measure parts using tools such as calipers and micrometers to ensure proper fit and function
• Adjust and align equipment components to maintain optimal performance
• Fabricate or modify parts using machine shop equipment as needed
• Follow lockout/tagout procedures and all safety regulations when servicing equipment
• Perform advanced mechanical work such as shaft alignment, gear setup, and timing of complex systems
• Repair and rebuild components including gearboxes, pumps, clutches, and spindles
• Assist with installation and maintenance of specialized machinery (e.g., Swiss machines, bar loaders, transformers)

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of general maintenance experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in equipment maintenance and repair
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, safety rules, and equipment manuals
• Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• PLC experienced preferred
